At the heart of the London Borough of Redbridge is Ilford Town Centre, an attractive
retail and leisure location with a large pedestrianised shopping area radiating
from the magnificent Redbridge Town Hall.
Ilford Town is a bustling and vibrant place to shop with over 400 businesses combining
high street favourites, small independent retailers, cafes and restaurants, as well
as lively outdoor markets.
Ilford Town Centre has also been identified by the Greater London Assembly and the
Mayor of London as one of London’s major metropolitan centres.
The town hosts a varied and lively events programme throughout the year including
everything from specialist markets to popular family attractions.
In excess of £1.5 million is being invested in the Town Centre by its resident businesses
over the next four years. This investment is being delivered as a result of Ilford
Town becoming a Business Improvement District.
The investment by Ilford’s business community will directly improve the safety,
cleanliness and promotion of the Town Centre.
