We have over 400 businesses operating in Ilford Town Centre, ranging from independent and multiple retail outlets and professional service providers such as solicitors and accountants, through to banks, building societies, cafes, restaurants and bars.

This is a prosperous and forward thinking location in which to run a business, and this is further underlined by Ilford’s Business Improvement District status.  The BID brings businesses, organisations, the police and the local authority together as partners in Ilford to deliver projects and services that improve the trading environment. It is led by business for the benefit of business, and is on course to deliver visible and tangible improvements in the area for a period of five years.

Regular research amongst visitors to, and residents of, Ilford Town, shows that perceptions of improved cleanliness, safety and a more visible police presence are growing. This is largely down to the activities of the Ilford BID team and its stakeholders.
