- Transport Museum
- Examples of work both old and new from Central St
- Martins School of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art
- An exhibition of Future Design
- Craft Fair
The four day event is also set to include:
- a 'Designer makers' craft fair
- children's entertainment
- local art from the Valentines Mansion’s studio artists and local artists.
Sir Terence Conran
Designer Sir Terence Conran has been appointed as Redbridge’s special adviser for the event and he has been helping the Council source artwork and design pieces for the exhibition.
Sir Terence said, "I visited Valentines in September last year and was impressed with the Mansion and the eighteenth century gardens. The place will make a fantastic setting for the Queen’s visit and I am delighted to be involved in helping with the Council’s plans for the visit and the four day Art and Design Festival.
Thursday 29 March will be a great day for the people of Redbridge and North East London and, I hope, a very special visit for Her Majesty too. I will be there on the day to help out in whatever way I can."
