Team Ilford

Our mission statement: “Ilford BID/town centre management promises to make Ilford town centre a distinctive, safe and welcoming town centre”.

When the businesses in Ilford voted to become a Business Improvement District in April 2009, an ‘operational taskforce for the town’  brought together the  local Council, the Police and a rich mixture of local stakeholders to  create a proactive team  focused exclusively on the BID area.



In excess of £1.5 million is being invested in the Town Centre by the resident businesses during the BID term.  This will help to achieve the primary aim of the BID to improve safety and cleanliness, to reduce crime and to create an environment that is beneficial for businesses and for people living and working in, and visiting the area.

Ilford Town Centre has a dedicated police team which works closely with the Town Centre Management to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour.
